To outline or not to outline, that is the question
I was honored to be asked to write a guest post for the fantastic site "Indies Unlimited" this week, where I discuss some problems I ran into while writing my second novel, and how creating an Outline helped me.

Thanks for sharing this Dean. I am writing a novel. Outlining it helped me to keep the story in mind and where things are hopefully going. But there is also something else happening also, and that is what the characters are doing with each other that wasn't on the outline.Both elements surely happen, don't they?~~TK
Hello Tim. You are very right, the outline provides a wonderful overall picture of one's story, but what the characters do is always a surprise (at least to me). I look forward to hearing more about your novel! Best regards Tim!
